Legendary actor found dead today in his California home
After 90 years, actor Bill Cobbs has died.
Famous for his parts in The Bodyguard, Night at the Museum, and New Jack City, the actor left the movie business.
Bill’s brother Thomas G. Cobbs, who is also a pastor, confirmed the sad news on Facebook: “Bill died peacefully at his home in California on June 25.”
Bill recently celebrated his 90th birthday with loved ones who he cares about a lot. He is a devoted partner, big brother, uncle, surrogate parent, godfather, and friend.
We are all comforted by the thought that Bill has found peace and eternal rest with his Heavenly Father.
“We ask for your prayers and encouragement during this time.”
According to TMZ, it’s still not clear what killed Bill.
Bill’s niece, Bethany Cobbs, shared a cute picture of him with his family earlier this month to celebrate his birthday.
With a smile on his face, the star sat down in a soft brown chair.
Everything he did was for him!
Fans sent well wishes to the actor’s family on X, which used to be Twitter.
“Never knew his name, he was in EVERYTHING, RIP,” one said.
Another person said, “Mr. Bill Cobbs was a gentleman, an absolute legend, and a man of great talent.” TV, movies, and the stage will never be the same without him. May he rest in peace and power forever.”
“Thank you Mr. Bill Cobbs for following your dreams and sharing your gifts,” someone wrote.
“What an amazing actor,” said a fourth.
It’s crazy how many movies Bill Cobbs was in! His voice was great. “I will miss him very much,” wrote someone else.
